CONDUCTING

St. Louis Blues 2024-2025 Opening Video featuring Sebastian Buhts conducting “Meet Me At St. Louis” with Lindenwood University Music Program.

Marimba

“Chaconne” from J.S. Bach's Partita No. 2 in D-minor, BWV 1004. Arranged for marimba by Sebastian Buhts.

“Variations on Lost Love” by David Maslanka.

Tabla

I was honored to perform a tabla solo for the 2022 St. Louis Literary Award presented to internationally-acclaimed author Arundhati Roy. Roy won the Booker Prize in 1997 for her book, The God of Small Things.

The tabla solo begins at 7:30 in the video.

“Dhagina Dha,” from Shawn Mativetsky’s rudimental snare drum book, Rudimentaal. This snare drum solo is inspired by the tabla drumming of North India. In this video, I decided to play some “chamber music” to show the snare drum adaptation side-by-side with its origins on tabla!

Multi-Percussion

“the anvil chorus” by David Lang. Composed for resonant and non-resonant junk metals, wood blocks, and bass drum.
